Aluminum Expanded Mesh Ceiling

Aluminum Expanded Mesh Ceiling And Aluminum Single Panel Ceiling

I. Structure and Material Form

  • Aluminum Expanded Mesh Ceiling: Made of aviation-grade aluminum alloy as the base material, formed into a mesh structure through stretching and stamping. The mesh holes come in various shapes such as rhombus and square, presenting an overall transparent three-dimensional grid. The weight of a single panel is light (about 2-5kg/㎡).
  • Aluminum Single Panel Ceiling: Adopts an integral aluminum alloy plate (usually 2.5-4mm thick), processed and shaped through bending and spraying. The surface is a dense and flat solid structure, with a heavier single panel weight (about 8-12kg/㎡) and no transparent mesh holes.

II. Core Functional Differences

  1. Ventilation and Heat Dissipation: The aluminum expanded mesh ceiling has a mesh rate of 30%-70%, featuring extremely strong air circulation and rapid heat dissipation, suitable for equipment-intensive areas. The aluminum single panel is a solid structure, basically without natural ventilation, requiring additional reserved air vents.
  2. Acoustic Performance: The aluminum expanded mesh can be used with sound-absorbing cotton, achieving significant sound absorption effect (Noise Reduction Coefficient NRC 0.4-0.8). The solid surface of the aluminum single panel reflects sound waves, lacking natural sound absorption capacity, which needs to be improved through perforation treatment or additional sound-absorbing layers.
  3. Fire Resistance and Corrosion Resistance: Both are Class A fire-resistant materials. However, the mesh structure of the aluminum expanded mesh makes it difficult for corrosive media to adhere, resulting in higher salt spray test resistance (no rust after 1000 hours). The aluminum single panel relies on surface coating for corrosion resistance, and the edges and bending parts are prone to rust due to coating damage.

III. Installation and Maintenance

  • Aluminum expanded mesh adopts modular splicing, enabling convenient and quick installation. A 1000㎡ space can be completed in only 7 days. For later maintenance, a single panel can be directly lifted without damaging the overall structure.
  • Aluminum single panels need to be fixed by keel welding or bolts, with a longer installation cycle (about 15 days for 1000㎡). During maintenance, the entire panel must be disassembled, which is likely to damage the surrounding structure.

IV. Application Scenarios

  • Aluminum Expanded Mesh Ceiling: Suitable for scenarios requiring ventilation, heat dissipation and acoustics such as large venues, factories, subway stations, and open office areas, combining industrial style and design sense.
  • Aluminum Single Panel Ceiling: Adaptable to scenarios pursuing flat texture and strong decorativeness such as hotel lobbies, high-end office buildings, and exhibition halls, capable of achieving complex shapes and customized colors.
